ENERGY INITIATIVES

The Department of Energy has also created the Solar Photovoltaic Rebate Initiative (SPRI) & the Energy Limbo Competition.

SPRI offers financial rebates towards the cost of the purchase and installation of the photovoltaic generation system to encourage the public & businesses to invest in renewable and alternative energy.

The Energy Limbo Competition was created to encourage the public to try and reduce their use of electricity on a daily basis.  By encouraging participants to adopt new habits or behavior, the competition demonstrates that the public can not only reduce their use of electricity but can also save money.
